  This was a great place to stay. The entite staff of the Hawthorn Suites made a great vacation even better. Thanks to all of you. A very special thanks to Rob. He was so very helpful, with everything that we needed. The room was very spacious, clean, and well appointed. Waking up to the smell of nice home cooked breakfast got our day started off right every time. The staff attended to our every need. Overall a fantastic establishment, and not only will I only stay at the Hawthorn in San Diego, but I will always stay in a Hawthorn in any city that has one!

  Stayed at the Hawthorne Suites Oct 4-7, 2008. Had a Queen Room with Kitchenette, two TVs, sitting area. Everything was great. Drove to nearby University and bought some groceries for the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't have any issues with noise from other guests. The only thing I would change about the room is to improve the lighting. It could use more lamps. Even with all the lights on, it was a little on the dark side. Overall, we felt it was a good value for the money and would stay there again.

  My groundlevel room was ~1000 sqft. with a stocked kitchenette. the hot breakfast was tasty and ready by 6:30am. i'll stay there again.
